Greenfield man faces multiple felony drug charges

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) – A Greenfield man faces eight felony charges related to the sale of drugs from his home according to court records.

22-year-old Brian Duvall was initially arrested and held on misdemeanor drug possession charges following a raid at the house he and his girlfriend were renting. Monday, the list of charges grew to include the felonies.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s partners at the Greenfield Daily Reporter, an informant working with police contacted Duvall in late November and arranged a drug purchase. The informant used Hancock County drug-buy money to purchase approximately 30 grams of marijuana court records state. The informant also purchased heroin from Duvall on two separate occasions.

Police said the informant wore a recording device during each transaction with Duvall to document the interactions.

During the raid of the house Friday, investigators confiscated several capsules of heroin and more than 90 grams of marijuana according to court documents. In addition, court documents state investigators found paraphernalia including scales, packaging bags and a ledger of recent sales.

Among the felony charges Duvall faces are three counts of possession of narcotics as well two counts of dealing narcotic drugs. He also faces two misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana.

Duvall’s girlfriend, Halee Helsley faces charges of dealing marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance, both felonies. She is also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.
