Rushville authorities investigating instances of fraud

RUSHVILLE,Ind. (WISH) – The Rushville Police Department and the Rush County Sheriff’s Department are looking into several instances of fraud.

According to the Rushville Police Department, over 100 accounts of Rush County residents have been illegally accessed.

The illegal activity has resulted in the loss of thousands of dollars.

The Rushville Police Department goes on to say that the suspects are using the stolen funds to make purchases in both Marion and Johnson counties.

However, the individuals involved in the unlawful behavior have been spotted on surveillance cameras as well as their vehicles.

Police believe that those continuing to engage in these criminal activities are part of an out-of-state organized crime group who have been pulling similar stunts throughout the mid-west.
