Police still looking for leads after threats at local high schools

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) – The Plainfield Police Department is still looking for information after threats targeted Plainfield High School.

An evening basketball game has been canceled. Despite the threats, the basketball team showed up for practice Friday afternoon.

Squad cars were parked outside of the school while teachers were inside working on material for when students return back from Christmas break.

Danville Community High School also received a threat. The district called off Friday night games as well. Officers continue to work possible leads.

24-Hour News Eight, has learned that both departments are working with the FBI to learn more about who is responsible for the threats.

“We took in a lot of tips and leads, the community has been pouring out a lot of information our detectives have to sift through,” said Captain Jill Lees with the Plainfield Police Department.
