Gas prices reach lowest prices since 2009

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The nation average for a gallon of gas has fallen to $2 on average. Also, the Federal Aviation Administration plans to open a website for its mandatory registration program.

Jane King was on Daybreak Monday morning with these and other local and national business headlines.

Gasoline hasn’t been this cheap since 2009. The $2 price is a milestone, but cheap gas was already available in most of the country. Two-thirds of gas stations nationwide are selling gas for less than $2 a gallon. AAA says the average price for a gallon of gas is $1.79.
