Authorities arrest four on drug dealing warrants

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Four men are behind bars after being arrested in Bartholomew County on felony drug dealing warrants.

According to the Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team, Friday afternoon’s arrests come as the result of a year-long investigation.

The investigation consisted of looking into the purchase of methamphetamine and cocaine in both Columbus and Bartholomew County.

Erlin Lucero, Jose Rodrigo Dominguez Cruz, Albin Asencio, Carlos Martinez have all been arrested and have been taken to the Bartholomew County Jail.

They all face multiple preliminary charges including dealing in methamphetamine and cocaine.

Three of the four men have had their bond set at $1 million.  Martinez’s bond has been set at $1.5 million.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Columbus Police Department, and the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office have all helped with the investigation.

The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team is made up of members of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office and the Columbus Police Department.
