LAS VEGAS (WISH) — A Southwest Airlines flight leaving Las Vegas for Indianapolis needed to return to the gate because of an unruly passenger.

According to a Southwest spokesman, Southwest Airlines Flight 717 returned to the gate in Las Vegas shortly after pushing back because the passenger refused to follow crew member instructions.

When the aircraft returned to the gate, local law enforcement officers were there waiting. According to the Southwest spokesman, the decision was made to remove the passenger from the flight based on his actions.

The flight and the remaining passengers arrived in Indianapolis about an hour behind the scheduled arrival time.

The man’s name has not been released.
