BENTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Benton County authorities have lowered the county’s travel advisory from a warning to a watch. A travel watch means only essential travel like getting to and from work is recommended.
According to 24-Hour News 8 sister station, WLFI, In the meantime, residents are asked to stay off all county roads because of numerous spots where water is covering the asphalt.
On Monday night, State Road 18 was closed between County Roads 800 and 900 West, but it has since reopened.
Benton County Emergency Management officials said nearly 1,000 people in the county are still without power as of 8:50 a.m. Tuesday.
