INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One of the men accused in the death of Amanda Blackburn has been charged for the murder and robbery of another person in early November.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office charged Larry Jo Taylor Jr. with murder, felony murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury in connection to the robbery and death of Rolando Gonzalez-Hernandez on Nov. 4 in the 4500 block of Candletree Circle. Gonzalez-Hernandez was found next to his vehicle after being shot.
” We are not surprised, many of these young me involved in these homicides have been linked to other homicides because they have not been caught in a previous homicide,” Rev. Charles Harrison with Ten Point Coalition.

Witnesses told investigators Taylor told them he robbed and shot someone at the same apartment complex where Gonzalez-Hernandez was found dead. Cell phone calls also placed him in the area at the time of the murder.
“It was scary it could of very well been my husband,” said Marie Madden. Gonzalez- Hernandez lived in the same complex as Madden. On the night of the murder, Madden’s husband complained about seeing a man in dark clothing walking around the parking lot looking into vehicles. Madden believes the man in dark clothing was Taylor.
According to court documents, Taylor took snap shots of news coverage about Gonzalez-Hernandez’s murder. Taylor is accused of showing the pictures to friends while bragging about the shooting. Prosecutors add that several informants tipped detectives off to Taylor’s criminal activity the night of November 4th.
Taylor and Jalen Watson are both charged in connection to the shooting death of Blackburn, which happened a week after Gonzalez-Hernandez’s death. Blackburn is the pregnant Indianapolis woman who was married to a local pastor. Her death made national headlines.
Taylor and Watson are also facing charges for a burglary that happened at an apartment on Nov. 3. In that same case, Taylor is facing charges for raping a woman inside that apartment.
Taylor’s initial hearing for these new charges is set for Dec. 30.
