TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Former West Lafayette pastor Craig Burden pleaded guilty in Tippecanoe County Tuesday.

Burden pleaded guilty to attempted child exploitation and possession of child pornography. In the plea deal, his other charges against him will be dropped.

Burden faces one to eight and a half years and up to $20,000 in fines. He will also be on the sex offender registry for 10 years.

Burden was taken back to jail Tuesday after the judge decided to revoke his bond after he allegedly violated a no-contact order with his wife. According to court documents, Burden approached his wife at a gas station and followed her car earlier this month.

Burden was the music minister at West Lafayette Calvary Baptist Church when authorities say his wife found child pornography on his computer in July.

A sentencing is set for Jan. 27.
