How to rock NYE in Indy

It’s bound to be quite the celebration this New Year’s Eve in Indy! Amanda Dorman, Communications Manager with Downtown Indy, runs down the list of what’s happening in our city, for both adults and families too!

New Year’s Eve in Indy:

At 11:59 p.m., when in most cities the traditional ball drop takes place, a suspended IndyCar hoisted high above the crowd will descend to a collective countdown amidst fanfare and fireworks at midnight. Warm up inside the Hoosier Lottery Countdown Pavilion inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse, plus enjoy full bars and food trucks all night. A new element this year will include the opportunity for one lucky person to race away just seconds after midnight in a street-legal IndyCar ushering in the march to the 100th Running of the famed Indianapolis 500 on May 29, 2016.

Entertainment throughout the night includes: 8 p.m.: Dave and Whitney

9 p.m.: Izzy and the Rubbaband        9:30 p.m.: Corey Cox (inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse)

10:30 p.m.: Kap Slap                        FREE
