Dow sees worst start since 2008

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana lawmakers are asking a fantasy sports site to move its headquarters to the state. Also, the stock market got off to a disappointing start for the new year.

Jane King was on Daybreak Tuesday morning with this story and other local and national business headlines.

The Dow lost 276 points, trimming losses from an earlier free fall on worries about Chinese growth. It was the worst start since 2008.

Two Hoosier lawmakers are going beyond just support for the embattled fantasy sports industry to inviting Fanduel to move its headquarters from New York to Indiana. Fanduel and Boston-based DraftKings are being challenged in court by New York’s Attorney General who contends Daily Fantasy sports is illegal gambling. Some Indiana lawmakers say they would be welcome to move to Indiana.
