INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A meth lab was discovered on the south side of Indianapolis early Wednesday morning, an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman confirmed.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of South Pennsylvania Street, which is near East Raymond Street and Madison Avenue.

According to an IMPD spokesman, a hazmat team responded, as did IMPD’s bomb squad, because of the “volatility of the chemical composition.”

IMPD said they hoped to have more information about the investigation later Wednesday morning. Check back with for updates.
