Police chase in downtown Indy ends with woman arrested

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that they arrested a woman after she failed to yield to police during a routine traffic stop.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and IMPD pursued Kim Townsend from West 33rd Street and Graceland Avenue at 5:17 p.m. until the pursuit ended at North Alley 50 East in downtown after roughly 10 minutes.

According to police, preliminary charges included resisting arrest and operating a vehicle without a license.

No one was injured in the pursuit.
