We’re gearing up for the 73rd Golden Globe Awards and helping you get a jump start on what to be on the lookout for! Here’s a preview of what to expect:

Lady Gaga Nominated for AHS

– Grammy winning singer/performer stars in the fourth installment of American Horror Story

– Gaga is the Countess of the Hotel Cortez and is a 115-year-old vampireNew Shows Shine

– 5 shows earn “Best Series” nominations (USA’s Mr. Robot, Hulu’s Casual, Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle, Netflix’s Narcos, and FOX’s Empire)

Netflix Leads with 8

– 8 nominations for the popular streaming service, the most of any network/streaming service

– 2 nominations apiece for Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and Narcos

– 1 nomination each for Master of None and Bloodline

Comedy Highlights Streaming Services

– Of the 6 nominated series for “Best TV Series- Musical or Comedy,” 4 are from streaming services (Amazon’s Transparent AND Mozart in the Jungle, Hulu’s Casual, and Netflix’s Orange is the New Black)

– The other two nominees are HBO’s Veep AND Silicon Valley

CW Actresses Recognized

– Last year’s winner Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) is nominated again for “Best Performance in a Television Series by an Actress- Musical or Comedy” and will face off against fellow CW standout Rachel Bloom in her freshman series, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

– Great to see two CW stars represented out of 5 nominees! (going up against A-list juggernauts Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Lily Tomlin, and Jamie Lee Curtis!)Mara/Vikander in Lead Actress

– Rooney Mara and Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl) are both being campaigned in the Supporting Actress category for the Academy Awards, with nominations being announced on Thursday, January 14th
