Columbus man charged with child molestation
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH)– A man accused of having sexual relations with two girls, both minors, has been charged.
22-year-old Dylan James Carley admitted to molesting an 11-year-old girl on Dec. 26. He also admitted to having a sexual encounter with a girl this summer who was 14 or 15 at the time.
Carley was arrested on Dec. 30 on a preliminary charge of sexual misconduct, according to The Republic.
He was charged with two counts of child molesting and sexual misconduct with a minor.
When he received his formal charges, his bond was set at $50,000.
If convicted on all counts, he could face 42 to 92 years in prison and up to $30,000 in fines.
According to jail records Thursday morning, he is still being held in the Bartholomew County Jail.
