Kokomo man dies in Howard County crash
HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A Kokomo man died after a Howard County crash Friday afternoon.
Indiana State Police say 31-year-old Zachery Shepard, of Kokomo, was driving a Dodge Durange south on County Road 500 West when he failed to stop at a stop sign at State Road 26.
Shepard was hit on the passenger side by a P.T. Cruiser traveling east on State Road 26.
He later died of his injuries, according to ISP.
The P.T. Cruiser driver, 17-year-old Carly Eads, of Russiaville, was taken to a Kokomo hospital and later transferred to an Indianapolis hospital. She is expected to survive her injuries.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to have played a factor in the crash.
