INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A firefighter was slightly injured Sunday morning battling a mobile home fire on the east side of Indianapolis.

It started around 10:30 a.m. in the 5200 block of Massachusetts Avenue. The Indianapolis Fire Department says the man staying at the home was out running errands and returned to find the structure on fire.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 30 minutes. One firefighter suffered a slight hand injury and was treated at the scene. Officials say a 10-year-old dog died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
