Brownsburg fire chief arrested

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WISH) — The Brownsburg Fire Territory chief has been arrested.

According to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman, Fire Chief William Brown was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail.

The Brownsburg Fire Territory released a statement that said Brown was involved in an accident while driving his department vehicle.

The accident happened Sunday night at the intersection of North College Ave. and Massachusetts Ave.

Brown is facing preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

According to the statement, there were no injuries and no other vehicles involved in the accident.
