What happens to everything left behind at TSA checkpoints?

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — What happens to everything left behind at a TSA checkpoint?

Indianapolis International Airport took 24-Hour News 8 behind the scenes of a TSA checkpoint Monday.

Shelves and cabinets are packed with items travelers forget to pick up from checkpoints and gates.

TSA says sunglasses, earphones and travel pillows are among the most common lost items.

Credit cards, medication or even canes are some of the more unique items discovered by workers.

Officials say some passengers go to great lengths to recover their lost items.
