Water flowing from street on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – While checking out road conditions Tuesday morning, a 24-Hour News 8 crew found water coming from a north side roadway.

It was happening near 86th Street and Moller Road around 4:40 a.m.

There appeared to be a crack in the street with a steady amount of water spilling up to the surface.

Cars were seen driving over the water and splashing it onto other parts of the pavement, creating a somewhat hazardous situation on a cold morning.

A Citizens Water spokeswoman said the crash was a water main break and that it’s been scheduled for repair.

The break was only minor and didn’t require any lanes of traffic to be closed.
