Fans say Alan Rickman will ‘always’ be loved

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Fans from across the globe are paying tribute to world famous actor Alan Rickman, who died at age 69.

Best known for his role in the “Harry Potter” series as Professor Severus Snape fans raised their wands to remember the actor who died after a brief battle with cancer.

Many also remember him for his role in “Die Hard.” According to CNN, Rickman almost didn’t take the role of one of the most villainous characters.  But he said in an interview with CNN that the story eventually won him over.

Other fans took to Twitter and used one of his famous lines from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” in his final moments with Harry to remember him.

I’m very sad to hear about Alan today. I feel so lucky to have worked and spent time with such a special man and actor. I’ll really miss our conversations. RIP Alan. We love youPosted by Emma Watson on Thursday, January 14, 2016

J.K. Rowling shared a few tweets after she learned of his passing.

Rickman has a movie set to be released in March.

Fans can see him in his film “Eye in the Sky,” about drone warfare in Kenya. He also did voice work for the upcoming “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” CNN said.
