Police: Man found dead on city’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a man was found dead on Thursday afternoon.

Police stated that the man was found at a home in the 600 block of North Linwood Avenue. He appeared to have suffered from trauma and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers believed that the victim had ingested illegal narcotics. He was later identified by police as Jeffrey Robinson, 41, of Indianapolis.

IMPD did not believe Robinson had been there long, and homicide was investigating the incident.
