Train, car collide on Indy’s near southeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — No injuries were reported when a train and vehicle collided on the near southeast side of Indianapolis Thursday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department dispatchers said it happened around 5:45 a.m. near Churchman Avenue and Minnesota Street.

Police say the tracks were still closed around 6:15 a.m. while emergency crews responded to the scene.

It’s unclear what led up the crash.
