Trader Joe’s recalls cashews for possible salmonella contamination

(WISH) – Trader Joe’s is recalling packages of raw cashew pieces, over possible salmonella contamination.

The nuts were sold at Trader Joe’s stores in Indiana and several other states.

The company is pulling the packages from stores. It’s also asking customers who bought them to throw them out, or return them for a full refund.

The barcode number on the packaging is 00505154 they also have the specified lot code, “BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4.”

Trader Joe’s says no one has gotten sick — but it’s issuing the recall as a precaution

The following states have been affected by the recall:
Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C. and Wisconsin.
