Charges growing against two Terre Haute robbery suspects

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – The two suspects who were arrested in connection to two armed robberies last week in Terre Haute appeared in court on Tuesday.

Josef Cannon and Adrian Green were both arrested last Wednesday morning after Terre Haute Police responded to two armed robberies at gas stations in Terre Haute.

The first armed robbery happened just before 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Marathon station located at 13th and Locust. About 10 minutes later, Terre Haute Police were called to the Phillips 66 Jiffy on North 3rd Street.

Police began chasing a suspect vehicle shortly after that led them through downtown Terre Haute. At one point, the chase came right past our WTHI studios with police and the suspect’s vehicle heading in the wrong direction down Ohio Street.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed behind Gavilon Grain (also known as Graham Grain) on South U-S Highway 41. THPD found an AK-47 and a large amount of money in the vehicle.

Now, court documents are showing both Green and Cannon are facing additional charges.

In total, both are facing 16 charges that include burglary, two counts of kidnapping, five charges each of criminal confinement, four charges of armed robbery, battery by means of a deadly weapon, attempted armed robbery, as well as unlawful possession of a weapon by a serious violent felon and a weapon enhancement charge.
