Greenwood man arrested on 2 counts of child molesting
GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) – A 22-year-old man has been arrested on two counts of child molesting and three counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors, police say.
The man was charged after police say he engaged in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl, according to 24-Hour News 8’s partners at the Daily Journal.
Mason Hertz was arrested last week. He told police that he would pick up the girl and they would have sexual relations in his car. He said it happened two separate time. He told police he also took pictures and recorded video of the encounters.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Hertz told police that he believed the girl was 15, but later found out she was 13.
Hertz was in custody at the Johnson Count jail on a $86,000 bond.
