Several arrested in Bartholomew County drug investigation

COLUMBUS,Ind. (WISH) – Five people were arrested in Columbus and now face preliminary narcotics-related charges.

According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests were the result of a search warrant carried out by the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team at a Columbus residence.

During the search a number of items were recovered including 14 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of heroin, as well as other controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

Clorissa Clemmons, Melina Caudill, Robert Johnson, Levi Underwood, and Daniel Butler were arrested and face a variety of charges.

All five of those arrested were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.

The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office make up the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team.
