Workout Wednesday: Ramp up your fitness goals by slowing down your workouts

Wanna get “firefighter fit?!” How about joining Firefighter Tim and crew for a boot camp this Saturday?! And that’s not all. Learn how to “slow down” your workout to work your muscles even harder! Tim says by taking simple, well-known body weight exercises such as push-ups, squats, and lunges and slowing them down, you work your muscles under lengthened tension, which causes better muscle breakdown.

The Carmel Fire Department will be hosting a one-hour workout session on the lawn of Carmel City Hall. Join certified personal trainers from Carmel Fire Department for a fun and energetic workout based on simple body weight exercises and calisthenics.
