Children’s Museum unveils 65-pound chocolate sculpture

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — There’s a new sweet treat at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

The museum unveiled its princess pirate sculpture Saturday, and it’s made from 65 pounds of chocolate.

The art piece is part of a new exhibit that also includes a chocolate slide and cafe.

A Philadelphia-based couple has been working on the sculpture for eight days.

Its creators say visitors have loved the edible artwork.

“They really love the smell of it,” Marie Pelton, who helped create the chocolate pirate, said. “It’s just an exciting event. It’s always fun to see something different, and I think seeing a chocolate sculpture is really different. You don’t see one all the time.”

It will be on display until April.
