Indiana State University seeks new 5-year strategic plan

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) – Indiana State University officials are seeking a new strategic plan for the school in Terre Haute.

The (Terre Haute) Tribune-Star reports that administrators, faculty, staff and students gathered on campus Monday for a town hall meeting to brainstorm new goals and benchmarks for the university to focus on over the next five years.

President Dan Bradley said the university must continue to diversify its faculty and increase student enrollment. He said it’s also important for the university to find ways to better distinguish itself from other schools and to continue to develop certain programs as centers of excellence.

The university plans to complete its final strategic plan for 2016-2021 by fall.

A second town hall meeting is scheduled for Feb. 9.
