Police ask for help locating bank fraud suspect

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for bank fraud.

According to IMPD, on October 15, 2015, the suspect cashed counterfeit checks at three different banks.

The individual cashed the checks at Fifth Third Bank locations in the 2000 block of East County Line Road, the 7900 block of US 31 South, and Smith Valley Road in Greenwood.

The fake checks withdrew money from an account belonging to a construction company in Florida.

Police said that the man used different names and identification at each of the three banks.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
