Anheuser-Busch welcomes another Clydesdale to its herd

BOONVILLE, Mo. (AP) – A mid-Missouri ranch that serves as a breeding facility for Budweiser Clydesdale horses has welcomed its first foal of the year.

Anheuser-Busch says in a news release that the foal, named Mac, was born Tuesday at Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville.

The ranch is open to visitors who can interact with the Clydesdales, some of which have appeared on Budweiser commercials.

More than 160 Clydesdales are part of Anheuser-Busch’s herd.

The Clydesdales have been associated with Budweiser since 1933.

The company introduced them to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition for beer.
