Fans use hashtag to send virtual cards to Joey, Rory Feek

ALEXANDRIA, Ind. (WISH) – A major online retailer is asking people to send thoughts and prayers to an Indiana native country music star who is dying of cancer.

Overstock.com has put together a virtual card for Joey Feek. The company says the card already has hundreds of messages.

All you have to do to participate is go to Twitter or Instagram and use the hashtag #CardForJoeyRory and it will show up on the card.

The husband and wife singing duo used to do commercials for Overstock.

Joey returned to Alexandria to live out her final days after Joey and Rory made the decision to end cancer treatment for Stage IV cervical cancer that began in May 2014. Since then Rory has been posting updates on Joey’s last moments on their blog.

In their latest blog post, Rory explained the meaning behind the “plus-sign” between their names. Rory explained it simply means Joey+Rory = Indy.

The due was also nominated for a Grammy award for best country duo/group performance of their version of “If I Need You.”
