One in critical condition following early morning shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is in critical condition following an early Saturday morning shooting.

According to police, a 19-year-old male was shot in the chest around 2:00 a.m. near West Washington Street and North Elder Avenue.

Police go on to say they believe the victim was shot in the car and then later drove to the named location.

There were also two other people in the vehicle, a male and female, who were not hurt in the shooting.

The 19-year-old victim was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
