Craft brewer Four Day Ray opening Fishers location

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – A popular and busy part of Fishers is about to get another new tenant.

Four Day Ray Brewing plans on opening its doors this summer north of 116th Street, near where IKEA and Topgolf will also be arriving soon.

“It’s a labor of love, definitely,” said Brian Graham, the owner of Four Day Ray Brewing. “It’s been an awesome journey.”

Graham started brewing beer 20 years ago in his garage. His journey is about to bring him to the big leagues.

“With some minor tweaks here and there, the vessels have gotten larger over the years. I started with a five-gallon system, and now I can brew as much as 15 gallons at a time, which is a full half barrel,” said Graham, describing how his system has grown.

After the brewery opens Graham says the brews will also be found in bars, restaurants and liquor stores.

Four Day Ray, which will also go by FDR, broke ground last week in Fishers’ Nickel Plate District. The foundation was poured Monday afternoon. It will be two floors when completed and will house a restaurant.

Graham said FDR will have a mezzanine area called The Loft.

“Everything here is kind of moving quick. I like it though,” said Dr. Derek Smith, who owns a chiropractic business across the street from FDR.

Fishers granted the brewery a 10-year tax abatement and other incentives to build. The incentive package is on a smaller scale than what was offered to IKEA and Topgolf, but Graham says he’s getting in when he can.

“I think we’re here at the right time, and we’re going to be able to service this area. It’s going to be extremely dense, and so you’ll probably see at least 1,000 people working in this general area,” said Graham.

By the time the brewery opens there will also be about 1,200 people living within walking distance.
