Maconaquah schools honor memory of Susan Jordan
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Maconaquah School Corporation honored the memory of Amy Beverland Principal Susan Jordan with black ribbons Monday.
Jordan died last Tuesday after a school bus jumped a curb, running into her and two 10-year-old students.
Maconaquah schools tied black ribbons on its buses Monday to honor Jordan.
“Any time you hear about a fatality with a bus driver, you reflect on your own community,” Dr. James Callane, Maconaquah Assistant Superintendent, wrote in a Facebook post.
He described the bus ceremony Monday as “very somber.”
