‘Bonnie and Clyde’ couple captured after crime spree in 4 states

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fl. (WIAT) – The couple wanted for kidnapping and robbery in Alabama has been captured in Florida. Brittany Harper and Blake Fitzgerald were wanted on a number of charges from crimes spanning several states.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office confirms that Blake Fitzgerald was killed in Santa Rosa County early Friday morning after a confrontation with law enforcement. Harper was injured and is in custody at a local Florida hospital.

WIAT-TV learned that this started with a robbery in Florida. Law enforcement then pursued the couple.
