Suspect in quadruple homicide pleads guilty
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The man accused in a quadruple homicide plead guilty on Friday, according to the Marion County Prosecutors office.
Kenneth Rackemann plead guilty to the killings of Walter Burnell, Jacob Rodemich, Kristy Sanchez and Hayley Navarro on Feb. 20 2014 in the 3400 block of South Parker Avenue. Prosecutors say Rackemann will be sentenced to four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. He will also be sentenced to an additional 20 years for one charge of robbery related to the murders.
The prosecutor had been seeking the death penalty in the case. In December, Rackemann was given a plea deal. If he pleaded guilty to the murders the death penalty would be taken off the table. At that time he rejected the agreement. According to court records, Rackemann agreed to a new plea deal with the same terms this week.
Two other defendants, Anthony LaRussa and Valencia Williams, are awaiting trials in the case. A third suspect, Samantha Bradley agreed to a plea deal and is waiting sentencing.
