IMPD investigating 2 early morning shootings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – In a span of 20 minutes Monday morning, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to investigate two separate shootings.

The first was reported at 3:55 a.m. in the 3200 block of Danube Way. This is on the southeast side of Indianapolis, near Southeastern Avenue and Fisher Road. In this shooting, IMPD officials say the victim was shot in the hand.

The second shooting happened around 4:15 a.m., near the intersection of Beachway Drive and North Mickley Avenue, on the city’s west side. IMPD confirmed someone had been shot at that location, but few other details were released.
