Former correctional facility employee arrested for sexual misconduct

MADISON, COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police have arrested a former employee from the Madison County Juvenile Correctional Facility on Monday.

Kody Hale was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual misconduct.

According to police, staff members were notified of allegations of misconduct by Hale, which opened up an investigation. Hale was placed on emergency suspension on Jan. 21 and later terminated on Jan. 29.

During the investigation by the Investigation and Intelligence Division of the Indiana Department of Correction formal charges were filed. Hale was transported to the Jefferson County jail following his arrest at his home.

Hale has been an employee with the department since June 3, 2013 as a corrections officer. He was promoted to a recreation leader on July 5.
