50 vehicles crash on I-70 in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 were closed for hours in Putnam County Sunday after police say 50 vehicles were involved in crashes.

Indiana State Police say no serious injuries were reported in the crashes, which happened near the 46 mile marker. The lanes were re-opened about seven hours after closing.

At least 50 vehicles were also involved in a crash on I-65 in Lebanon on Sunday.
