INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Valentine’s Day is a day filled with love and gifts, but it’s also a day to raise awareness for organ donation.
February 14 is National Donor Day and focuses on all types of life-saving donations, such as blood, organs and tissue.
Nearly 1,500 Hoosiers are waiting for organ transplants right now.
The Indiana Donor Network says 22 people across the country die each day because a donated organ wasn’t available.
