CARROLL CO., Ind. (WLFI) — Carroll County law enforcement is investigating after a human bone was found along the Wabash River Saturday.
A couple walking along the river near Lockport found it and reported it to police.
Officers confirmed the bone was human and said it’s been in the river for some time.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources Lt. Dan Dulin said out of the 18 years he’s been working, this is the second human bone reported.
At this time, the case is considered to be a death investigation.
The bone will be taken to the Carroll County Coroner Monday for DNA testing.
