Alert resident helps Fishers police arrest 2

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – Two suspects have been arrested after police say they were seen breaking into cars early Friday morning.

Police say they arrested two men who they say broke into several cars in the area of the 8200 block of Belle Vista Boulevard. That’s near 106th Street and Lantern Road.

According to Fishers police an alert resident of the Bella Vista Apartment Complex  saw two suspicious men walking in the parking lot around 6 a.m. The caller gave police a description and their location. When officers arrived on scene they found one of the suspects attempting to leave the parking lot in a passenger car. The suspect pulled over and was taken into custody.

The second suspect was located by police as he was walking between parked cars. He was also taken into custody.

Police arrested 18-year-old Christopher M. Thomas and Jackson V. Brooker on preliminary charges of theft, unauthorized entry into a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. They were both booked in the Hamilton County Jail.
