INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Tuesday marks 31 years since one of the most infamous moments in college sports history.
On Feb. 23, 1985, Bobby Knight lost control court-side and chucked a chair clear across the floor.
The Indiana University men’s basketball team was playing rival Purdue when referees made a call against the Hoosiers.
Knight was almost immediately on his feet and in the ref’s face. Shortly after, “the” moment happened and Assembly Hall erupted.
