There are a few things you won't find among the many items Knight is putting on the auction block over the next two months in New York, like the chair he launched across the Assembly Hall court five minutes into a game to clear up any confusion over what he thought of the officiating. INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) —  Tuesday marks 31 years since one of the most infamous moments in college sports history.

On Feb. 23, 1985, Bobby Knight lost control court-side and chucked a chair clear across the floor.

The Indiana University men’s basketball team was playing rival Purdue when referees made a call against the Hoosiers.

Knight was almost immediately on his feet and in the ref’s face. Shortly after, “the” moment happened and Assembly Hall erupted.
