INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana Girl Scouts are celebrating 100 years of changing the world.

Three Indiana women were honored for being Girl Scout Gold award winners.

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn.

The award acknowledges the power behind each recipient’s dedication to not only empowering and bettering herself, but also to making the world a better place for others.

Shi Tuck received the Girl Scout Gold Award for 2016. She is interested in science and technology.

She hopes others will follow in her footsteps.

“Passionate, driven, successful youth become passionate, driven, successful adults who have the potential to bringing income jobs and innovation to our community at large,” Tuck said.
