Father, son arrested following fight at town council meeting

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A father and son have been arrested for their role in a fight at a town council meeting.

Indiana State Police arrested the duo Thursday afternoon.

On Dec. 8, 2015, an argument at the Hymera Town Council meeting got out of control after Darrick Cullison and his son Destin attacked 69-year-old Daryl McCullough.

The board planned to replace Darrick Cullison with McCullough as the town marshal.

After the council voted to hire McCullough, an argument turned into a fist fight.

Both father and son face one count of battery with bodily injury, a class A misdemeanor.
