PENDLETON, Ind. (WISH) – School officials at East Elementary say they are investigating a bomb threat after a note was found in a school bathroom.
According to a voice mail sent out to staff and parents, the bomb threat was found written on a note in a bathroom trash can on Thursday evening.
Officials say that police were notified of the threat toward the school. Police do not believe the threat is valid but the school said they are taking the threat seriously.
Police were called to the school on Thursday night and officials say the building will be searched before students arrive for class on Friday.
School is expected to go on as usual Friday with extra police on campus.
