Criminally overlooked film was Christopher’s favorite animated feature of the year. With the reptile as the main character and the boy as his sidekick. Heartfelt and wise.”

Chris Cross: Tough call, but I will knock out Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu (The Revenant) for James Ponsoldt (The End of the Tour), a criminally overlooked film. Ridley Scott (The Martian) deserved a nom, too, but not sure who I’d cross out.
