Indy murder suspect arrested in Kentucky

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting last year has been arrested in Kentucky.

According to IMPD, Robert Lasley was arrested in Newport on Saturday. Monday morning, he was awaiting extradition back to Marion County.

Lasley is accused of shooting and killing 30-year-old Michael Killebrew on Dec. 1, 2015, in the 1000 West 29th Street. On Feb. 1, 2016, detectives obtained a warrant charging him with murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

Detectives say Lasley shot Killebrew around 7 a.m. He was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. On Jan. 16, 2016, the Marion County Coroner’s Office told IMPD that Killebrew had died at Community North Hospital.

It’s unclear when Lasley will be back in Marion County to face charges.
